The electrical services installation for Scoil Éanna, Bullaun, involved the complete electrical infrastructure for the new two-storey, 1,890 sq. metre primary school. The scope included power distribution throughout the school’s 8 classrooms, library, SET rooms, GP hall, servery, and special educational needs unit, along with the installation of energy-efficient LED lighting, emergency lighting, and external lighting for the play areas, roads, and car parks.
Key systems installed included a fire alarm system integrated with emergency lighting and the public address (PA) system, structured cabling for data and communications, and advanced security systems like CCTV, access control, and intercoms. Auxiliary services such as power for HVAC and kitchen equipment were also provided, alongside external electrical work for access roads and car parks. In collaboration with Coolsivna Construction and Semple & McKillop, Building Information Modelling (BIM) was used to coordinate electrical, mechanical, and structural components. The project adhered strictly to health and safety standards, with comprehensive testing and commissioning of all systems to ensure compliance with Department of Education specifications, culminating in a smooth handover for school operation.
