Brief Project Description:
The project at Creggs Rugby Club, Galway, involved the complete installation of electrical services as part of an upgrade to the facility. The work included modifications to power services, lighting, emergency lighting, protective services, fire alarm systems, and lightning protection to enhance the club’s infrastructure and safety systems.
Brief Description of Work:
The electrical installation covered several key areas. Power services upgrades included increasing the capacity at the Main Distribution Board and making adjustments to meters and earthing systems. Emergency lighting was simplified with standalone LED fittings, and protective services were updated by adjusting sensor placements and intruder alarm systems. The contractor was also responsible for wiring the internal CCTV system and installing access control features such as intercoms and door release buttons in key locations. Fire alarm systems were enhanced by adding strobe sounders to smoke and heat detectors, while lightning protection measures were integrated into the building’s design. These improvements were made to ensure the safety and functionality of the club’s facilities.
